he Croatian sea attracts many lovers of the underwater world. Breathtaking locations on the Adriatic attract a large number of divers. The Adriatic has a great deal of interesting flora and fauna within her seabed with remanence of ancient treasures to be found. In the Northern Adriatic Sea the depths are no deeper than 50-60 meters, divers are attracted in large part to the shallow depths and lush vegetation. Along the Istrian coast divers can see several old shipwrecks. The Central and South Adriatic are famous for greater sea depths with clear water and steep cliffs that descend to the bottom of the sea.

Some of the more popular excursions for diving can be organized on the Islands of Vis, Mljet, Lastavo and Kornati.
